Golf Resort Lipiny

The OKD coal corporation has now completed recultivation work on the former coal mine sites between Karviná and Darkov. Until recently this area still bore the scars of many decades of mining, but now part of it has been transformed into an amazing new 18-hole golf course and resort, perfect for all levels of ability – beginners, keen amateurs, and professionals. Thanks to the resort’s admissions policy it is open not only to members, but to the general public – so everyone can enjoy this wonderful sport. Experienced golfers can test their skills on the championship course, one of the longest in Europe at 3567 metres. The public course is ideal for everybody; although it is designed to be playable by beginners, it is generously dimensioned (1549 metres in length). The public course is also very reasonably priced compared with other comparable courses; on weekdays the fee is just 200 CZK, at weekends 150 CZK.
